Now this one is interesting and can be a bit tricky because as we become more self-aware we are going to notice parts of ourselves that we might not like so much…
An example is that I’m hella self-centered, to the point of having a hard time recognizing it because it is hardwired. I think of myself first in ALL situations!
When I first became aware of this I wasn’t trying to hear it or look at it for real. I wasn’t ready!
Before delving into shadow work it is imperative to have unshakable self-love so when we excavate parts of ourselves that we might be tempted to judge we can look upon those aspects from the lens of researcher.
We are data collecting. Who are we when we are…
…toxic…
….mean…
….distrustful…
….selfish…
…bitchy…
…rageful…
…distant…
…lying…
…cheating…
…stealing…
…and a long laundry list of other ish we might not want to look at or admit! Who are we and WHY are we?!
Data collection.
No judgment.
No shame.
Just understanding.
We are not here to eliminate our shadows, that’s not possible.
We are here to understand, embrace, and if need be, transition, transform, and/or transcend! 🧡
